Khaolak Laguna Resort ★★★★

Beautiful beachside location!

No warm water in showers, bathroom doors in the rooms are see through so there’s no privacy, cleaning staff wouldn’t supply more than 3 towels and only came every other day. Sundowner beach restaurant is expensive.

The location of the resort is excellent. Very close to market and restaurants. Property is bang on the beach.

The breakfast spread could have been better… Saying that it wasn’t bad at all..,

- Spacious rooms - Great sea view from everywhere - Stunning grounds - Large pool - Decent food - LOVELY staff! Literally everyone was so sweet and helpful. We had a change in temp with our AC and after one phone calls there was someone at our door in less than 10 minutes. And the issue was resolved within the hour. We were so happy

- The staff could team up to do a beach clean up once a week - It would have been nice to have more room service + hotel restaurant options (but we came in low season so maybe that’s why)

We had a lovely stay. The best customer servicer were Thip at the spa! We took a spa treatment nearly every day. She elevated our experience :)

Overall, English is spoken rather badly at the resort. Sadly that hindered our experience especially at the reception as it took a long time to communicate. However everyone were very polite and kind.

This resort is in a lovely location with a beautiful beach, perfect for sunsets. The rooms are well appointed with nice bathrooms though dark and would benefit from more lighting.

The staff could have done more to make us feel we were actually on holiday and had chosen to stay at this resort. Almost every request we made was declined. At most beach resorts it's standard practice to have food and drinks served at the sun loungers, though not here. When we requested food or drinks at the sun loungers on the grassy headland beside our room and overlooking the beach, we were declined. It's also standard practice to have laundry collected and delivered to your room. Not here. A notice in the room informed us to call reception for laundry collection, which we did. Reception told us to bring it to them, which we found strange but did anyway. When we returned late that evening we needed the clean laundry but it wasn't in our room. We rang reception, who told us to go over and collect it from them. We objected to this and eventually the laundry was delivered, though we were forced to pay cash to the delivery person, which meant we were scrambling around in the dark room late at night looking for the right money. It really did nothing to create the feeling that we were on holiday. We also had an unfortunate check out experience, where we had requested our luggage be brought to reception (there are a lot of steps up to reception) in time for our car arriving, though this wasn't arranged accordingly. All in all quite disappointing service.

The staff was very helpful keeping our luggage while on a live-aboard dive trip before our check-in, and keeping our documents in a safe.

some staff and food. waited for long long time for dinner after order even there were a few guests. pancake was never baked well (half baked) for breakfast. a staff didn’t know (didn’t answer) where spa was in spite of the brochure is on the desk of front desk. she didn’t even try to ask other staff. I had this kind of small issues there

Khao Lak Laguna Resort is one of my favourite hotels in Thailand, everything is just perfect: the location, right on the beach but close to shops and restaurants; the staff, always attentive, professional, helpful, kind and speaking good English; the rooms (I stayed in the Oriental Villa, room 105, and I loved the decor, the attention to details, the wooden furniture, the cleanliness); the facilities (playground, two swimming pools, a pétanque court, ping pong, the gym, library, lounges, spa...). I've stayed in 5 star hotels which can't compete with the service of this 4 stars. Will be back for sure.

Lovely place to stay,great location & beautiful beach. Staff mostly very nice polite & friendly.

A couple of the waiters at the sundowner bar were a bit miserable I thought. I didn’t like having to sign for every drink when I was at the bar instead of signing when I’d finished.

Amazing The pool, the accommodation, the staff, the beach, the layout all mind blowing.

Nice Oriental Villa accommodation

The staff ensured everthing from check in to departure was stress free, the resort being pretty much a piece of paradise. Overall the Laguna exceeded every expectation, and made our honeymoon a very special and memorable stay.

It is a real struggle to find anything that failed to impress. In fact after a lot of thought the only thing that was missing were baked beans for the breakfast (which was always delicous without the beans anyway)!

staff and service went the exta step nothing was a problem and would highly relate to this as one of the best resorts i have stayed at

the only negative was the restaraunt service was terrible food was average if only they catered for the guests prices were over the top we ate across the road 12 out of the 13 nights we stayed there it was totally overated and management need to really look at this as the rest of the resort had a 5 stars we will return here and hopefully this can fixed as our experience at dinner was not very pleasant or memorable suggest you eat at the golden elephant across the road. also my wife is an avid reader there were no english books in the library onle catered for german tourists

Great place - so clean and right on the beach

Found the pool side restaurant staff packed attention - they didn’t really pay much attention to the guests and took ages to come and take an order for food or drink

Adequate buffet breakfast that included a few asian dishes, eggs, bacon, sausages, cereals, breads/toast, fruit, yoghurt and fabulous pancakes.

Birds stealing food from plates at breakfast and being quite aggressive. Room was ok but not as luxurious as portrayed in photos on site and whilst there was fabulous water pressure in the shower, the bathroom needed upgrading - chipped tiles etc.

Staff were very friendly room was excellent.
